Welcome to Gray Matter Edits. By accessing or using this website, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

  1. Services
    Gray Matter Edits offers professional proofreading, copyediting, copywriting, ghostwriting, and story-planning services. The scope, deadlines, and pricing of each project are agreed upon individually in writing with the client.

  2. Intellectual Property & Ownership

  • For proofreading, copyediting, and story planning: the client retains full rights to their original material.

  • For copywriting and ghostwriting: unless otherwise agreed, full rights to the final text transfer to the client upon receipt of payment in full. Gray Matter Edits does not claim ongoing rights or authorship.

  • Clients remain responsible for ensuring that submitted materials (for editing or reference) do not infringe copyright or contain unlawful content.

  1. Use of Website Content
    All website text, branding, and graphics are the intellectual property of Gray Matter Edits unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute it without permission.

  2. Accuracy of Information
    While I strive to provide accurate and effective services, I cannot guarantee specific results (e.g., publication, grades, or sales performance). The final responsibility for the use of delivered material lies with the client.

  3. Refunds & Cancellations

  • For all services, a deposit or partial payment may be required before work begins.

  • Cancellations made before work has started will be refunded in full (minus any transaction fees).

  • If work has already begun, refunds will be calculated proportionally based on the amount of work completed.

  • Once a project is completed and delivered, no refunds are available.

  • If Gray Matter Edits cannot complete a project due to unforeseen circumstances, the client will receive a full refund for any undelivered work.

  1. Limitation of Liability
    Gray Matter Edits will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or services.

  2. Governing Law
    These terms are governed by the laws of Finland.
