Scholarly work.Considered at every stage.
Four carefully defined ways to prepare, refine and bring your research to its readers.
For master's theses, doctoral dissertations, academic books and other long-form scholarly manuscripts, my editorial suites combine specialist services into one coherent process.
Choose the support your manuscript needs, whether that means final preparation, extensive language editing, publication support or continuity across years of research.
The right level of care.
For the work in front of you.
These two suites are distinguished by the depth of language editing required, not by the qualification, document length or academic level. Both can support theses, dissertations and other substantial scholarly manuscripts.
The Manuscript Preparation Suite
For well-developed manuscripts that need meticulous final proofreading, reference checking and professional presentation before submission or editorial handover.
- Academic proofreading for spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Reference and citation checking against the agreed style
- Document formatting and consistency checks
- Final submission integrity review against supplied requirements
Distinctive focus: a polished, submission-ready manuscript.
For manuscripts that need finishing rather than extensive rewriting.
The Manuscript Refinement Suite
For manuscripts needing comprehensive copyediting, followed by a defined final proofreading stage once relevant author and examination revisions are complete.
- Detailed academic copyediting for clarity, flow and register
- Reference and citation checking
- Formatting and manuscript-wide consistency review
- Final post-examination and revision-stage proofreading, where applicable
Distinctive focus: deeper refinement with a later final proof.
For manuscripts that require more than a surface polish.
For a book's journey.
Or a research journey.
Two bespoke pathways for projects whose editorial needs extend beyond a single conventional manuscript.

Work you can review.
Decisions you can follow.
The precise document set depends on the chosen suite, but transparency, clear author queries and consistent editorial records remain central to every engagement.

Editorial corrections and questions visible for review in Word Track Changes.
Clean Copy
A separate version with agreed changes incorporated, ready for the next stage.
Editorial Style Sheet
A record of spelling, terminology, style choices and decisions made for consistency.

The right edit.
At the right stage.
The Preparation Suite is most useful when your substantive revisions are complete. The Refinement Suite allows for more extensive language work before an agreed final proofreading stage.
Book projects benefit from early discussion of the intended publisher or publication route. Article-based doctoral researchers can establish continuity support from their first journal manuscript onwards.

One body of research.
A consistent editorial thread.
Journal articles written over several years may differ in terminology, conventions and presentation. The Research Continuity Suite brings an informed editorial perspective to successive manuscripts and the final integrative dissertation.
Its living Research Continuity Register tracks recurring decisions without overriding individual journal requirements. Published articles remain fixed; the final dissertation is edited within the applicable institutional and publication requirements.
Before you begin.
Each project is assessed individually. These answers explain how the four suites differ and what to consider before choosing one.
Does my qualification determine which suite I need?
No. A master's thesis, doctoral dissertation or other long-form academic manuscript can be suitable for either the Manuscript Preparation Suite or the Manuscript Refinement Suite. The distinction is how much language editing the text requires.
What if I'm preparing an academic book?
If your book needs straightforward proofreading or copyediting, one of the manuscript suites may be appropriate. The Scholarly Publication Suite adds book-level editorial assessment and preparation suited to your publication route.
Is typesetting included for traditionally published books?
Typesetting is addressed within the publication plan, but traditional publishers often manage their own page production. Where that's the case, preparing publisher-compliant manuscript files may be more appropriate. We'll confirm the precise deliverables before you book.
What does post-examination proofreading cover?
For the Refinement and Research Continuity suites, the agreed final proofreading round can take place after the author has incorporated examination corrections. It covers a defined volume of final-stage textual changes; major newly written sections or substantial restructuring are quoted separately.
Can previously published articles be edited for continuity?
The Research Continuity Suite edits article manuscripts at commissioned pre-publication stages. Once published, their published text is treated as fixed unless appropriate permissions and institutional rules allow a different version. The continuity record supports consistency in the integrative dissertation without rewriting past publications.
Can I book individual stages rather than a multi-year contract?
Yes. Research Continuity work can be commissioned through defined article and dissertation milestones. All four suites receive a clear quotation and agreed timetable before any editing begins.
What if I need just one editorial service?
You can also book individual Copyediting, Proofreading, Reference & Citation Checking or Document Formatting services without a full suite.
Ready to take the next scholarly step?
Tell me about your manuscript, its current stage and where it's heading. I'll recommend an appropriate editorial pathway and provide a clear, tailored quotation.
Clarity in scope. Care in every detail. Your scholarly voice preserved.
